Getting there
By bus: From Santiago, it is best to go to Terminal Sur (Universidad de Santiago station) and take a Tur-Bus. The driver can be asked to stop at the Alameda, which will leave you 2 blocks away of UOH. This is not an official stop, so it may be that the driver decides not to stop there; in this case, you have to get off at the bus station (Rodoviario) (15 minutes walking from the UOH). The other option from Santiago, and for the ones traveling from the south of Rancagua, is to take any bus that stops at Terminal O’Higgins and from there walk west 15 mins along the Alameda to the UOH or take a “colectivo”.
By train: Another good option is tren central (https://www.trencentral.cl/metrotren-rancagua) but the train station is a little further from the UOH. Approximately 20 minutes walking.
By car: If you decide to drive, the road is simple given how one-dimensional Chile is. The only non-trivial recommendation we have is for the ones traveling from Santiago: give preference to Vespucio Sur and follow the southern access route. Without traffic, it should take you about 1 hour from the beginning of Vespucio Sur.
Parking
The UOH guards will be notified so that participants can use the university parking spaces. Access to the parking lot is on the west side of the university. When you arrive, please mention that you are coming to an event or meeting with Professor Gonzalo Muñoz. Something to take into account: the number of parking lots is limited, so if for some reason there are no spaces available, there are several parking options in the blocks south of the university.
